Our Huebner Campus is located inside the Hector Garza Residential Treatment Center in San Antonio, Texas. Hector Garza is a staff-secure facility operated by the Abraxas Youth and Family Services Program, a division of the Cornell Companies. Child Protective Services and county Juvenile Probation Departments refer youth to this program.
The Huebner Campus serves girls only, ages 10 to 17, who have severe behavior and emotional disorders. The current enrollment is 40 students with about 40% in special education.
The school staff includes a campus administrator, school psychologist (LSSP), registrar, four core content teachers (math, science, social studies, and English), a PE teacher, a technology assistant, and an instructional aide. Additionally, the campus has two special education teachers available that provide resource classes and tutoring.
The campus uses the C-Scope curriculum and students have access to a full range of computer-assisted instruction including A+ Learning Systems, Accelerated Math, and Study Island.
